ABOUT US

Molson represent the following major international brands, all with a reputation for top-of-the- line quality:

Hyundai

The full range of excavation machines including hydraulic excavators of up to 80 ton. Also back-hoes, and fork lift trucks

Kawasaki

This full range of Japanese made wheeled loaders up to 30 tons: almost unique in the construction sector instantly all components are of their own advanced and patented design and manufacture

Kobelco

We import an extensive range of these Japanese made machines with low hours. They are unable to export brand new models into Europe under the terms of a non-compete arrangement as a result of selling their leading technology to others, but the used machines we are able to acquire (from the company itself) and bring into the UK have a superb record and are highly sought after.

Kato

Hydraulic excavators: Japanese built and less complex than most modern excavators: at first sight these lack some features of the ‘modern’ look, and some of the modern electronic “bells and whistles” that not everyone requires (or wants to pay for!): but from an operators perspective they offer a unique ease of handling and from a support perspective they have a very low need for after sales service and support: very reliable work horses.

Ammann

The full range of heavy rollers down to wacker plates – they have the broadest range of compaction equipment, incorporating Rammax trench technology, in the market, and offer the high quality you would expect from a Swiss company still owned and run by the founders family.

Yanmar

The full range of Japanese mini-diggers. These are assembled in a French factory run by a joint venture between Yanmar and the Swiss Ammann group, using the best Japanese technology: Zero swing leaders with largest production of diesel engines in the world - 10% global market shown in minis – a true leader.

OM Crushers

The OM product range incorporates leading technology advances, with “non stop technology” which helps cut ‘downtime’ and produce higher productivity than their better known rivals. An Italian owned business, still led by the founder.

We can also source and provide other brands upon request but prefer to sell the above, with whom we have trusted working relationships.

Molson was founded by Jonathan Wilson and Robin Powell in 1996. Business flourished and by 2001 the company had outgrown its initial premises in Yatton and moved to a purpose built yard on a 7 acre site in Smoke Lane at Avonmouth, near the M4/M5 axis, (since renamed the Smoke Lane Industrial Estate).

With its space, accessibility, hi-tech workshops and spray rooms the new state of the art premises enabled Molson to become a company that can cope with the current and future demands from the industry. Since the move Molson has expanded and its workforce is now 35, of which 20 are technical staff (fully trained engineers, fitters, welders, painter and signwriters), 8 are sales orientated and the balance are support personnel. Molson also has a large parts facility with a parts stock of £1mill always on hand.

Currently Molson stands as one of the largest suppliers of Japanese built excavators and continues to source a wide range of equipment including dump trucks, dozers, demolition rigs and wheeled loaders. In addition to Molson’s exceptional early record in sales of used equipment, a strong alliance was formed with the Japanese manufacturer, Kobelco (a part of the huge Kobe Steel). Molson were initially appointed as dealers for Kobelco in the South West in 2000. Within their first year of trading Molson raised the market share to 8% nationally and 35% in the South West alone. In 2003 Molson become Fiat Kobelco dealer for Southern England, Wales, Midlands, and North to York. This range of Italian machinery gives our customers an even wider choice of equipment.

The combined Kobelco and Fiat Kobelco partnership, later joined to form CNH, and Molson became the largest CNH dealer in the UK and their second largest in Europe.

Our sales team has expanded to cover all of the UK and we offer a fully mobile engineering service with 10 large fully equipped service vans, fitted with GPS to ensure they can locate machinery working on site. They also carry built in generators and welding equipment.

After sales warranty, delivery facilities and customised paintwork and sign writing are all part of the legendary level of service we take pride in. We understand the importance of finding the right machine for the job and with our extensive global network and alliance with leading manufacturers we are sure we can meet your needs.

We are situated in the hub of the Southwest's industrial centre and within easy access of the intersection of the M4 and M5. New and prospective customers are always welcome to visit us - we would love to show you around.
